In partnership with Education for Health Africa, Mwabu converted part of their existing Audiometry manual into engaging and interactive e-learning content used in a refresher course on screening for workplace induced hearing impairments. 

The challenge:

Education for Health Africa identified that their traditionally paper-based Audiometry manuals would be very bland from an e-learning point of view and were seeking to bring in more engaging elements on a very limited budget.

Our solution:

Mwabu converted parts of their existing audiometry refresher course manual into interactive e-learning content, with different formats for displaying information allowing the user to explore and discover the material in a more engaging way. At the end of each of the seven chapters, Mwabu converted the self-assessment questions into online quizzes which give the user instant feedback on their understanding of the topic.

The same development is also planned for a Spirometry refresher course.

In the planning stages, a chapter from the Education for Health Africa Audiometry course was used as a showcase for the suggested e-learning content format:
