We are proud to announce that we have been successful in our bid to Catholic Relief Services (CRS) to create digital training and testing for seed inspectors and samplers in Zambia. Mwabu will collaborate with the Zambian Ministry of Agriculture Seed Control and Certification Institute (SCCI) to adapt existing training materials and develop new tailor-made e-learning content.

New digital modules will include bespoke artwork, video, animations and voicing. A new Learning Management System (LMS) will facilitate embedded tests and assessments as well as enabling training to be accessed both online and offline. Training will be provided to users in how to use and manage the system and upload new or modified course content. Initially conceived as a response to travel restrictions due to COVID-19, the opportunity for utilising digital training for inspector licensing and overall quality control training among seed producers could have significant value beyond current circumstances. A digital platform for training and testing will allow for flexibility in accessing courses and tests, enabling training for larger cohorts, as well as offering significant cost savings over face-to face training.
